Usability? User Friendly? This Words Looks Familiar for me!
Usability and user friendly is a term usually refers to the elegance and clarity with the interaction between the user and your web application in order to achieve a particular goal. Usability can also refer to the methods of measuring usability and the study of the principles behind an object's perceived efficiency or elegance.
When I get hired or requested in any project for doing usability testing the first things I start to investigate are:
1- Who are the users, what do they know, and what can they learn?
2- What do users want or need to do?
3- What is the general background of the users?
4- What is the context in which the user is working?
5- What has to be left to the machine?
Can you afford a usability test? the answer is YES!
I'm assuming since you came this page you must be thinking How much this will cost? take it as a promise from me it will not cost you as much as you may loose if you don't apply some usability testing in any process in your project.
Honestly the Usability cost depend on the size of your project first and second on your financial plan.
